Body size for models
Agencies have very high expectations of their models and the body measurements that models must have are defined by the fashion world. The minimum height for female models is 1.70 meters ( 5,57 ), although many agencies do not accept models under 1.75 meters (5,74). The ideal body size is between 1.73 and 1.79 meters.
However, in recent years, due to the increasing number of models suffering from serious health problems to meet the expectations of the agencies, there has been a lot of pressure on fashion agencies and many fashion brands have been recruiting women with body measurements that do not fit the above definition, called overweight or even obese, and vice versa, petite models.

The “perfect” body measurements (at least according to the agencies) consist of a model’s bust, waist and hips. The famous 90-60-90 measurements, introduced by Marilyn Monroe in the 70s, are still more or less up to date.
