No Grammy Awards for K-pop gruops in 2024
On Sunday, February 4, the Grammy Awards were presented in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, there is some sad news for K-pop fans: no K-pop group was nominated at the 66th Grammy Awards.
K-pop fans have been looking forward to this day. Especially the fans of BTS, who were nominated in the last three years, wanted to see the awards in the hands of their idols. But unfortunately, there was no K-pop group among this year’s nominees, including BTS.
Taylor Swift is the winner
On the night, what many fans expected came true, and pop star Taylor Swift received the award for Best Album of the Year for the fourth time. Another special feature of this award was that Swift broke a record with this award. With this award, Taylor Swift broke the record of legends such as Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon. Each of these three names had received a maximum of 3 awards.
With the Grammy in hand, Taylor Swift also announces her latest, eleventh album. Her new album is called “The Tortured Poets Department”.
Unfortunately, K-pop fans will have to wait for the 67th Grammy Awards.
